Unwarne upholstery story
I've been upholstering furniture for over 25 years, now working from my workshop in Cheltenham. Over that time I've developed a range of handmade footstools — over 500 made and counting — and become particularly known for William Morris and Harris Tweed. But the other half of what I do is bespoke work: one-off footstools built entirely to your specification, or re-upholstering whatever piece of furniture that might need some love.
Â
Every footstool starts with a bare frame and ends up exactly as you've chosen it — your fabric choice, your legs choice, your size. I make one at a time, so nothing gets rushed and nothing gets missed.
Â
If you're in Cheltenham or nearby in Gloucestershire and you've got a piece of furniture that needs some attention — a dining chair that's seen better days, an armchair you've had for decades, a sofa that just needs new fabric, a custom window seat cushion, or something older that deserves a proper restoration — I'd love to take a look. Upholstery and furniture restoration is at the heart of what I do, and there's nothing more satisfying than returning a well-loved piece to its best. Send me some pictures and tell me what you're looking for and I'll come back to you with a quote.
